Dear patients,
The Medica team is ready to meet you on the day of surgery, as scheduled.
A moment before you arrive, it is important for us to tell you a bit about the medical center where you will undergo your procedure.
Welcome to Medica
Even though you´re coming here to go through a medical procedure, the last thing you’ll feel is that you are, in fact, in a medical center. This is exactly the sort of charm that characterizes Medica. The public spaces are large, brightly lit, cozy and inviting. The furniture – as in the star-studded hotels, is well designed and comfortable for sitting, the marvelous marble floor tiles, made from carefully selected materials, are so shining that you can almost catch a glimpse of your own reflection, a pleasant scent of perfume accompanies you around every corner, soothing background music is flowing from all sides, and the absolute highlight – artwork pieces that are scattered throughout the center. All of these make the stay here an experience that will leave you with a sense of awe and admiration.
The highest standards of medical service excellence will accompany you throughout your stay at Medica, while being treated by the leading surgical doctors in their field, a skilled, empathic and professional nursing staff, and an administration with a personal and supportive approach.
The entire team is working as one in full cooperation and coordination in an effort to create for you an outstanding experience. It is important for us to make you feel at ease, safe and satisfied.
At the Medica’s new 4th story compound at Ramat Ha-Hayal you’ll find:
- 9 operating rooms among the most advanced in Israel, complete with the latest medical technology
- Exclusive at Medica: personal surgery reception rooms, which provide you with complete privacy, including TV screens to spend your time pleasantly while waiting to enter the operating room
- Private or double carefully designed, bright, cozy and spacious inpatient rooms. Every room is equipped with wide and comfortable adjustable beds and pleasant bedding sets that offer a feeling of being at a hotel, as well as a multi-channel TV. Escorting family members enjoy the particularly comfortable armchairs, which can also be slept in if required. In every room a sparkling clean private bathroom ensures the patient’s privacy after the surgery and adds to the good overall feel. Chances are, you won’t want to go back home…
- Proactive communication and regular updates
It is important for us that you, as a patient, know in advance what kind of treatment procedure will you undergo on the day of surgery.
Therefore, through an advanced queue management system, we provide you with proactive updates at every stage of the process and ensure that your escorting family members are updated with status messages and information displayed on flat screens in the waiting areas.
On the day of your arrival for surgery, you can leave your car at the (paid) underground parking or at the street parking around the Medical Center.
Everything you need to know ahead of the procedure
On the day of the procedure you must have with you the following documents:
- National ID card for an Israeli citizen or a passport for a foreign resident that includes a photo and an information page : if the patient is a minor, an ID card of one of the parents with the child’s details inside must be presented. If the parents are divorced, written informed consent signed by both parties must be provided.
- Payment Voucher of the insuring party (HMO and/or insurance company)
- Deposit: a check or a credit card is required in order to leave a deposit, which will be refunded to you during the main payment settlement. The deposit is required since additional costs can be incurred due to the longer surgery time than planned, additional instruments used or further procedures performed, etc.
- A medical summary from a family physician specifying the following: medications that the patient is taking regularly, information about allergies, sensitivities, etc.
