Personal Code of Conduct
As a physician and a surgeon, the main principle that guides me in the selection of the medical or surgical treatment is the good of the patient.
In order to be successful in the treatment a great deal of experience and knowledge is required from the physician, in addition to understanding the patient’s problems and defining the desired result from the side of both the attending physician and the patient. I believe it is of utmost importance to have conversation with the patient, to conduct a thorough physical examination, and to recommend on the appropriate type of treatment while listing all the recovery stages and the possible complications.
As an ophthalmologist whose field of expertise is plastic eye surgery that includes the eyelids and the eye sockets (oculoplasty), I understand how important it is for the surgeon to know the anatomy of the eye area, and to perform preliminary eye tests before the cosmetic eyelid surgery, through the use of an advanced eye equipment and other innovative technologies. Only a thorough preliminary assessment can determine whether the patient is really suitable for surgery and what is the preferred method of treatment.
Using the surgical methods which I have learned while working closely with renowned oculoplastic surgeons in the world’s leading and most prestigious centers, the techniques I have personally developed during my years of work, and the experience I have gained at the hospital in the treatment of thousands of patients, some of them very complex cases, – I can today offer the patients the most advanced and high-quality treatment with the minimal possible risk.
I believe in a personal approach to my patients, thus I make sure to spend all the time necessary for conduction of preliminary medical examinations and the discussion of the treatment options. I continue to guide and accompany the patients immediately after the surgery and make sure to be available at all times for any questions that may arise.
