Dr. Sagiv graduated with honors from the exact sciences studies of the Haifa Hebrew Real School. During his IDF service, he has graduated with honors from the Military Flight School and had served as an officer in the Air Force. Subsequently, Dr. Sagiv has completed his BSc in Medical Sciences cum laude at the Technion, and his Doctor of Medicine degree he has also obtained with honors. After completing an internship at the Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Dr. Sagiv has undergone a specialization in ophthalmology at the Goldschlagger Eye Institute at the Shiba Medical Center, Tel ha-Shomer and has passed the specialization examinations with honors. During the specialization, he has gained extensive experience in a variety of eye surgeries.
Upon completing the specialization, Dr. Sagiv had traveled to the United States to undergo a fellowship in Oculoplasty (plastic surgery of the eye and face) in a prestigious program of a leading medical center, the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and the leading center for aesthetic surgery and oculoplasty, the TOC Eye and Face. As part of this specialization, Dr. Sagiv has gained extensive experience in surgical and non-surgical treatment of the eyelid, eye socket, lacrimal diseases and various aesthetic eye and facial surgeries. The training was conducted under the guidance of the leading experts in the United States and the world in these diseases and their treatments. Dr. Sagiv has also acquired a unique and extensive experience on a global scale in the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the eyelids and the eye socket area. Dr. Sagiv has written book chapters and has published numerous scientific studies and articles, on which he gives lectures at international conferences.
Today Dr. Sagiv is a senior physician at the Oculoplasty and Eye Socket Unit of the Goldschlagger Eye Institute, Shiba Medical Center, Tel ha-Shomer.
