Dr. Bar is a Brigadier General, beginning his military career as a battalion and brigade physician in the paratrooper division, then advanced to a divisional physician with the paratroopers and the Medical Commander with the Home Front Command. As part of his service, Dr. Bar worked as a rescuer and had participated in IDF rescue missions during India and Haiti earthquakes, tsunami in Japan and rescuing casualties in Kenya. Following the Haiti earthquake, he was invited to speak on behalf of the IDF at the Washington AIPAC Conference. Dr. Bar is the founder and chair of the International Preparedness and Response to Emergencies and Disasters, the first and second IPRED conferences. He also holds a Master’s degree in Health Systems Management and formerly served as Assistant General Director of Assuta and the manager of patient safety department.
