Dr. Asaf Barel is a surgeon, specialist in urological surgery, practices as a senior urologist at the Institute of Medical Research at the Shiba Medical Center. Dr. Barel is a major supporter of public medicine and works in a variety of Health Management Organizations including Leumit, Maccabi and Meuhedet and provides services and surgeries within their coverage. Dr. Barel conducts ongoing research in the field of immuno-oncology in cooperation with the “Ella Lambaum Institute for Immuno-Oncology” at the Shiba Medical Center. In 2017, Dr. Barel has won the Rakovchik Prize for basic sciences in the field of urology.
