Born in Israel to parents born in Israel.
Practices ophthalmology since 1987.
IDF service as an army physician, today a unit commander in reserve (rank of Captain).
Completed specialization in ophthalmology at the Beilinson Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Ben-Syra and Prof. Yasur.
In 1988, Dr. Malkin has opened and an eye clinic and a private laser institute.
In 1989, Dr. Malkin was chosen by the Meuhedet HMO to establish and head the Health Organization’s Central Ophthalmic Institute in Tel Aviv. As part of this position, he serves as the HMO’s chief ophthalmologist, surgeon and a consultant in ophthalmology to the medical management.
Has undergone various advanced studies in laser treatments and eye surgery, such as:
Phacoemulsification, oculoplastics, refractive surgery – under the leading surgeons in Israel and abroad.
Regularly attends national and international conferences, such as AAO, ESCRS, ICO.
Member of the IMA – Israeli Medical Association.
Member of the Israeli Ophthalmologists Association.
Member of the European Society of Cataract <-link and Refractive Surgery.
Member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
