Education

Dr. Tamar Pedot Kleisman is a graduate of the Hadassah School of Medicine, Hebrew University.

Specialized in ophthalmology at the Rothschild / Bnei Tzion Hospital in Haifa with a fellowship in glaucoma at the TUFTS University in Boston.

As part of her fellowship in Boston, she was the first Israeli physician to do research on the OCT technology, now widely accepted worldwide.

Dr. Pedot is a senior surgeon and heads the Glaucoma Service of the Ophthalmology Department at Bnei Tzion, and as part of her work she teaches medical students of the Technion as well as doing clinical research and giving lectures to doctors at conferences in Israel and abroad.

Dr. Pedot runs an ophthalmology department at the Armon Clinic of the Klalit Health Services.

Dr. Pedot performs many cataract surgeries, including complex surgeries in glaucoma patients and uses a variety of lenses, including Multifocal lenses and Toric lenses for astigmatism.

In addition, she performs glaucoma surgery including laser treatments and various types of drainage implants.
