Personal Code of Conduct
Combination of clinical practice and research enriches knowledge and involvement, as well as the ability to treat patients and provide them with better medical response. I believe that in educating the interns and connecting them to research they will become better doctors. Practicing pediatric ophthalmology, and especially neuro-ophthalmology, invites dealing with the most complex cases, and incorporates many specialties, such as internal medicine, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery and oncology. In clinical practice, as well as in research, integration and collaboration of different fields gives rise to breakthrough ideas in medicine. Collaborations with engineers, researchers in the field of nanotechnology, advanced imaging, stem cells or molecular systems of the tumor cells and the ability to utilize innovative devices all serve to increase the pool of available tools for diagnostics and treatment. My energy and motivation come from the desire to do the best in the field of medicine, and to bring relief to as many patients as possible.
