Prof. Yosef (Jeff) Kashuk is a skilled surgeon with over 30 years of experience.
After completing his specialization in the United States, Prof. Kashuk has made his first immigration to Israel in December 1995.
In 2000, with the outbreak of the First Intifada, Prof. Kashuk was requested by the Trauma Center of the Ichilov/Rabin hospitals to contribute his skills and experience to treating the many civilian victims affected by trauma.
In 2004, Prof. Kashuk has returned to the United States for an eight-year academic period. During that time he has risen through the academic ranks and had received the degree of professor of surgery from the Penn State University in 2010.
Prof. Kashuk is experienced in all areas of surgery and intensive care, and has assisted in the development of a specialization in acute surgery and surgical intensive care in the United States and the world.
As a specialist in general surgery, Prof. Kashuk performs all types of general surgeries, and is especially skilled in treating patients in states of acute surgical emergency and patients requiring intensive surgical care.
His research, which deals with blood clotting problems after injury, has been recognized worldwide. Prof. Kashuk he has authored over 100 peer-reviewing articles.
Today, Prof. Kashuk spends most of his time developing expertise in acute surgery and intensive care in Israel, and he has therefore chosen the Assuta Hospital because of its high reputation in the quality of patient care and the commitment to excellence.
Prof. Kashuk is a member of more than 20 international professional organizations and is regularly invited to lecture around the world on a wide range of surgical topics, especially in his area of expertise in acute surgical emergencies and intensive care.
