Dr. Hauser graduated from the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine. After several years of service as a combat medic in the IDF, Dr. Hauser specialized in the Ophthalmology Department of the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
After completing his specialization and earning the degree of expert of ophthalmology, Dr. Hauser was accepted through the prestigious MATCH program into a fellowship in retinal disease and surgery at the Davis Hospital of the University of California in Sacramento – considered to be one of the world’s leading ophthalmology centers. During his specialization of two years, Dr. Hauser had studied the retina surgery under the best of experts, and dealt with complex surgeries directed to the Regional Center of the Western US. Upon his return, Dr. Hauser served as a senior retinal surgeon in the Kaplan Hospital Ophthalmology Department and as the manager of its Laser Service Unit.
In 2006, Dr. Hauser was appointed Head of the Retinal Service of the Barzilai Medical Center and since then he has been focusing on advancing the service by introducing new surgical methods and technologies and improving the quality of a range of treatments already available at the hospital.
Dr. Hauser is active in the academic field and has a number of publications in the international ophthalmology literature.
